80s One Hit Wonders Hey 80s Fans! So you love music from the 80s and want to check out some songs you might have forgotten about? The Great 80s Website has compiled a list of some of the best music from the 80s by bands that only had one brief moment in the sun. We will not be listing the obvious songs that everyone knows about like "Come on Eileen" by Dexys Midnight Runners or "I Melt with You" by Modern English. The songs in this list were popular in the day, but are not heard as much on classic radio today. So without further ado... On to the list! Birds Fly (Whisper to a Scream) by Icicle Works

This popular dance tune by When in Rome, a new wave trio from England, reached #11 on the US charts in 1988.

An early version of this band actually had pop singer Madonna on drums! They had their first and only hit with their song Right on Track which made it all the way to #7 on the Billboard charts in 1987.
